The following is a page originally created as a personally useful archive and is heavily weighted toward refuting popular myths as opposed to introducing the subject of climate science.
Nevertheless if you are absolutely new to the subject I highly recommend Real Climate’s page for beginners. If you are looking for information on a specific charge by a climate critic I highly recommend visiting Skeptical Science’s list of climate change myths.
Skeptical Science - Perhaps the best individual site on the net for separating supported climate science from myths. The site includes an ever expanding list of climate change myths sorted by popularity or taxonomy, a very simple guide explaining the basics and an interactive guide to the history of climate science with links to the research.
Real Climate - One of the best blogs on the topic which is run by leading climate scientists. They’ve also compiled a terrific resource for beginners and their complementary wiki is additionally extremely useful as it links to several popular sites and specific climate myths can be found by topic, author, media outlet and by country of origin.
NCSE: Climate - The National Center for Science Education has finally stepped into the field of climate science and their site provides a basic overview of the topic and a great resources for teachers in the field.
IPCC - The home of the international body formed to assess the current status and risk of climate change
Specific Myths - direct links to corrections for a few of the most popular myths courtesy of Skeptical Science and Real Climate’s Wiki listed above. Again just to be clear the issues as they appear below are myths simply phrased this way because they are often repeated in that manner.
